Skoda has revealed the Elroq vRS, a performance-focused iteration of the Czech carmaker’s entry-level EV. In true vRS fashion, the sportier Elroq receives a substantial power bump and a plethora of design tweaks inside and out.

    1. Elroq vRS produces 340hp, accelerates from 0-100kph in 5.4 seconds
    2. Fastest charging Skoda ever; 185kW DC charging allows for 10-80 percent in 26 minutes
    3. Exclusive Mamba Green colour, vRS badging, black accents, and more styling changes
    4. Cabin gets Alcantara trim, bright green accents, and vRS-specific graphics for displays

Skoda Elroq vRS battery, performance, range, and charging

As the new range-topper of the Elroq line-up, the vRS gets a 52hp power increase over the vanilla variants courtesy of its dual-motor setup, which is shared with the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX. Total output stands at 340hp, which, when dispatched to all four wheels, allows the Elroq vRS to achieve a 0-100kph time of 5.4 seconds. Regular Elroq variants take 1.2 seconds longer for the same. Skoda also claims that the Elroq vRS has two new external sounds - Sport and Futuristic.

Maximum range takes a hit, but charging speeds make up for it

The Elroq vRS uses the same 84kWh battery as the previous top-spec 85 variant, but its sportier credentials have dropped the WLTP-tested range by 32km, making for a total of 550km. On the flip side, the Elroq vRS is Skoda’s fastest charging car to date, with its 185kW DC rapid charging enabling a 10-80 percent top-up in 26 minutes. 11kW AC charging requires eight hours to juice up the battery from 0-100 percent.

Skoda Elroq vRS suspension and chassis

Stiffened chassis, lower ride height, and upgraded brakes

Aside from the powertrain upgrades, the Elroq vRS has a slightly stiffer “sports” chassis, and its suspension has been dropped by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear. The steering set-up has been tuned accordingly, and the Elroq vRS also gets more powerful two-piston caliper front brakes.

    Skoda Elroq vRS exterior design

    Exclusive Mamba Green paint finish

While the Elroq vRS’ design is largely unchanged from that of the standard all-electric crossover, it does receive a lot of distinguishing touches. Chief among these is the vRS-specific Mamba Green finish, a revised front bumper with body-coloured accents and a honeycomb-patterned air dam, vRS badging on the front fenders, blacked-out Skoda lettering and roof rails, and illuminated slat patterns on the grille cover.

The Elroq vRS also features LED matrix headlights, exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels (21-inchers are an optional extra), an all-black rear bumper with an extended reflector, and tinted rear windows.

Skoda Elroq vRS interior and features

Inside, the Elroq vRS differentiates itself from the standard variants with bright green accents and Alcantara trim on the dashboard, seats, center console, armrest, etc. It also gets vRS-specific graphics for the 5-inch all-digital driver’s display and 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, as well as the optional augmented reality heads-up display.

Other prominent features include heated and massaging electrically adjustable front seats (optional for passenger), ambient lighting, four fast-charging USB-C ports, wireless charging, an optional 12-speaker 675W sound system, and more.

    Skoda Elroq vRS launch details

The Elroq vRS is slated for launch this summer in global markets, but there's no word on whether it'll make it to India. Skoda debuted the standard Elroq at Auto Expo 2025 to assess customer interest, although the decision to launch the all-electric crossover here has yet to be finalised.
